Empire state of Brussels

We all rep our city. Be it big or small. Known or unknown. We all come from a certain place on this earth and all find pride in certain aspects of the towns and places we were brought up in.
Personally I was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium aka BXL, BX or even BXHELL
I guess not too many people have an idea of what our great capital looks like let alone understand our country.
I know it’s tough to grasp and explain how a country as small as Belgium can have such a complicated political system and can be so divided into two country sides that don’t seem to come along at all. And on top of that have a total of three national languages.
But there really is no need to explain and understand any of that if you ask me. When I’m in Brussels, I am surrounded by a multitude of nationalities. People come from everywhere and they speak all kind of languages but it doesn’t bother me nor them. We get along just fine. To us, when push comes to shove, the things you see and hear on tv shows about us are all biased opinions of people whom don’t even live in the city centre or close to it and don’t share the feeling of unity we “Brusseleir’s” all share.
Ask any one in Brussels if they want to see our country split into two and I’m sure 90% will tell you that’s not even a question to ask.
Today I came across this video by 13HOR, Daddy-K ft. Aziza called the Empire State of Brussels and I was impressed at the beautiful imagery and scenery of the town I call home. The video really succeed’s in capturing the feeling this city I call home gives me and I wanted to share it with you guys so you could have a bit of insight at how things look down here.
