It’s not every day you get to shop around Nike’s inventory for free .99. This opportunity was given to me by the kind people at Nike for the trials and tribulations I have gone through with their online store in the past. Now let’s be clear on this point, there’s still a lot of work for the big swoosh people to get their store running in such a way we can call it smooth and enjoyable 24/7 and I’m pretty sure they are aware of it. But at least the fact they reached out to me showed they care about their customers in a way or another.
When shopping around, I came across these as they had just released on the European Nikestore and figured these would be a decent pickup to rock comes summertime!
Judging by my previous experience with the Nike Lunar technology I figured nothing much could go wrong when picking these up.
And as expected, they deliver, and how!
First let’s talk looks. If you don’t know the Nike Air Safari and the gazillion makeups it has had through different models and colorways, you have either been living under a rock, or you’re just not sharing the obsession I am. Personally, I’m not a big fan of the Safari idea. I got the Trainer 1 just to see if I could make my mind up about them, but when I see them on pictures, they just give me a “meh” feeling. But that “meh” goes into “woah” when you’d ask my opinion about the Air Max 1 Safari which I have the pleasure of owning. So just like patent leather, north carolina blue, translucent soles and straps, we could say Safari print does something to me on a shoe. Combine that with a very expressive volt sole, laces and lining sticked to a mainly black shoe and you got me going curious when looking at stock pictures!!
Secondly, let’s talk performance. This is a Lunar ladies and gentlemen! In the past I was fortunate enough to pick up a pair or two of Lunar technology on the cheap at my local outlets to judge what the fuzz was about and was already sold from the first step I put in them. This one is no different. These shoes are not comfortable, they are beyond the point of comfortable, they feel amazing. I yet have to feel a Roshe Run’s comfort, but I can compare these to the Zoom haven and the Presto and I’d have to say these go right up with the Presto for being like errr….well like something words can’t describe much! Last but not least, this shoe also holds Hyperfuse technology, so you can guess their weight is low and they are very breathable!
So…
- you like Safari print?
- you like a colorway that pops?
- you like comfort?
Yes? You do?
Than this definitely is a shoe you should look into when it releases in a store near you!
As for now, I’ll let pictures do their justice!
