After last week’s oddity. I have taken it upon me to try and bring you a “other” type of sneakers from within my collection on the regular together with my motivation as to why I picked them up.

You could say I’m a pretty loyal customer. I’m into Nike’s. And if they are basketball inspired or Air Jordan’s, then you can count on it, I’ll probably know about them or want them and sometimes own them.
With my love for the Air Jordan series, comes the love for elephant print. It’s the print that has helped making the Nike Air Jordan III an iconic shoe.

So when I bumped into this make of the Asics Stormer a good 4 years ago at one of our Foot Locker’s, I was pretty impressed with them and I found them a thing of beauty.
The elephant print on these is OD. It’s all over the darn shoe! Something I found daring for a brand like Asics that I often label as “boring” and “common” (apart from their  Noosa series of course). Add to that the fact that the shoe sports hints of aqua wich to me is a referral to the Air Jordan VIII aqua and a color I believe should be used on sneaker color ways more often and I was instantly sold.
Last but not least, the price was also too good to be true. Nobody in Belgium seemed to want these and they were on sale for a mere €28! So within a matter of 2 minutes, it was a done deal for me and I walked up to the counter with back then and untill shortly was my first and only pair of Asics sneakers.
