Too Many T-Shirts Day 23/365 WordPress

I have a soft spot for free t-shirts. I think they’re the greatest thing since Top Ramen.

I also have a soft spot in my heart for nerdy techy wonderful stuff like WordPress. To some people it’s an overrated CMS that is everything that is wrong with open source coding but to me, it’s been a way of creating the life that I want to live.

Lifestyle Design.

Now that I think about it WordPress has pretty much been the reason for me making a living for the past 5 years or so.

That’s awesome enough to wear a free t-shirt if you ask me. Maybe I’ll even use WordPress to blog about WordPress and my WordPress t-shirt! ;)

Too Many T-Shirts Day 22/365 New Balance Since 1906

When it comes to sneakers, history is one of the most important things for me. That’s probably the biggest reason shoes like the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star sit so high on my list.

Another company whose history is one of its most notable plus sides is New Balance. The Made in the USA label has lost importance over the generations but for folks like my grandparents, it was always something important to look for when buying any product. New Balance’s history dating all the way back to 1906, predates even my grandparents, so I think it’s special to wear something like a shirt like this one once in a while to remind myself that all of this culture and community of sneakers that I love, was generations in the making. Especially since the more consumed we become with technology and social media, the more self important and forgetful of the past we all tend to become.

Too Many T-Shirts Day 21/365 Do You Boogie?

I’ve been a Sacramento Kings fan since they moved to the city in the mid-eighties. I was just a kid but old enough to know how cool it was to have our very own NBA team in Sacramento. The team has struggled more often than not but I’m just like all the fans in Sacramento, dedicated and always cheering for the best.

You’ll be seeing plenty of Sacramento Kings shirts as I continue this project through the rest of the year but this is one of my current favorites. DeMarcus “Boogie” Cousins is one of the young stars with what seem to be limitless potential for the Kings. They made this shirt to play on his nickname last year during his rookie season and I had to have it.

Too Many T-Shirts Day 20/365 Benny Gold (@bennygold)

Benny Gold and his brand is one of my favorite people to support. Benny continues to support the San Francisco skateboard culture and serve the streetwear community with creative designs season after season. I’ve got a good number of his t-shirts in my collection already and there is no doubt there will be more on the way. I recently picked up the Bearbrick he designed as well.

This t-shirt is just classic black and orange, San Francisco’s adopted “city colors” and features Benny’s signature plane and script signature logo. I could wear this shirt every day and never complain.

You can grab one from the Benny Gold online store, and grab a 49ers colorway version for this weekend’s big game!

Too Many T-Shirts Day 19/365 Flying Lizard (@FlyingLizard_MS)

I’ve been a car guy since I was about 14 or 15 when I bought my first project car. Although I’ve been on hiatus from doing much to my own cars in the last couple years, racing runs in the family and we always make it to any American Le Mans Series event in California to follow our local Porsche racing heroes, Flying Lizard Motorsports. Over the years we’ve seen them go from rookies to champions, with no sponsorships and all white paint schemes to being one of the recognizable Porsche teams in the world.

One day I’ll make it to Le Mans, to show support for Flying Lizard. Hopefully as money permits, Blue Belly Motorsports, named as a tribute to our heroes and the those little lizards we used to chase around the hills of Northern California as kids, will become more than just a dream.

Until then, I’ll live vicariously through my Flying Lizard Motorsports Le Mans t-shirt.

Too Many T-Shirts Day 18/365 San Jose Sharks XX

I was a much bigger hockey fan back in high school but I’ve followed the San Jose Sharks since the franchise began. Last year was their 20th Anniversary as the San Jose Sharks and I was lucky enough to make it to a game. Since it was 20 years I had to pick up this anniversary t-shirt.

Go Sharks!
