Being an automotive geek, I can’t help but be excited to see technology progress. Although, I will always love the smell of gasoline, the limitless potential of electric vehicles is awe-inspiring. As a Northern California (big) kid, I have a fascination with the things that Silicon Valley is able to create and Tesla Motors is one of the most exciting new creations to capture my attention.

After riding in the Tesla coupe a few months back, the news of the Model S sedan has been something I’ve been eagerly anticipating to for quite some time. I recently stopped in at the newly opened Tesla showroom for the Model S on the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, California, and snapped some pictures.

The price point of the car, around $50k, makes it competitive with any sports sedan on the market, and the power, comfort and quiet ride will likely be above and beyond anything else available. My frequent trips from Los Angeles to San Francisco are about the only thing that would keep the Tesla Model S Sedan from fitting in my current lifestyle but who knows, by the time they are readily available and in full production mode, what dreams may come.
