Shoe Biz and adidas Originals have one of the best partnerships around and the adidas Originals Concept Shop on the 2nd floor above Shoe Biz, in San Francisco’s Haight District is proof of that. On any given day you can find a mix of tourists and locals pushing the iconic Trefoil logo elevator button and heading up to see the latest adidas Originals designs. Upstairs are some of the freshest adidas creations from over the years. Somedays it’s an Originals BMX bike. Other days, it’s a tribute to Run DMC, and others it’s artists’ creations from all over the world.
Today, famed designer Jeremy Scott, is stopping by to meet fans and the concept shop has been transformed to honor the eclectic designer’s long-time partnership with adidas Originals. Outside, the sign reads “Meet the man behind the wings,” a reference to one of Jeremy’s most popular designs, the adidas Originals JS Wings. Inside, there are JS designs from over the past few years both on display, as well as on the feet of dedicated fans looking to have Scott autograph their prized possessions. The combination of music cranked up and the excitement of meeting Jeremy Scott and getting a piece of the new collection has smiles on the faces of everyone in the building and even those at the front door waiting to get inside.
It’s scenes like this that make the adidas Originals and Jeremy Scott partnership unparalleled. It’s also the reason you see things like the Trefoil logo tattooed on attendees. Seems they really do know how to #represent.
