Peruse My Essentials: Incipio Offgrid Pro
With technology making our everyday task easier and easier, our batteries tend to give out on us in the middle of the day when we most need our beloved smart phones. For some one like myself, who uses their phone from everything from booking meetings, using the flashlight to find my Bluetooth that is hiding under my seat, to buying my favorite cup of caffeine with my app, I rely on my phone heavily. Also, with all this great technology wrapped in some very lightweight casing designed to look extremely fashion forward, it can also be prone to shattering. I mean come on now, it’s awesome to know that your phone can do all these amazing things, make life easier and still be lightweight to carry. Sadly, by 4 p.m. my battery is somewhere around 30% and I still have about 3 hours left in my hectic life. I have searched for quite sometime for the “perfect case”. I want to know my phone case can save my day and send that emergency text by having a back up battery and still have amazing protection without looking like you are carrying a brick around. It sounds like a lot huh? Well, I am happy to say I have found my grail! The Incipio OffGrid Pro is everything I wanted and more.
One of the great things about this case is that it’s not chunky or too elongated while wearing slimmer pockets in slacks and not too bulky while wearing jeans. Most cases nowadays offer good protection but make your phone look like it is armored ready for war. Phones with bulkier casing look horrid if you are wearing slacks. Weight is not an issue at all with this case since it basically feels like you added less than 2 grams of weight. Best way I can describe this case for those who are curious to know how it feels is by describing it as an iPhone 3GS that’s an inch bigger. The handle for this phone is amazing and it does not impede you from typing because of its width. The phone case is full polycarbonate, which is wonderful and sturdy. Polycarbonate is also used in high-end travel pieces for durability and high resistance to not breaking. The case is finished with a matte coating which makes it not prone to scratches due to wear. The accessibility to buttons such as the volume control and on/off switch work amazing and are easy to press.
The biggest test I had to put this case through was the battery test. I am not going to lie; I was a bit scared and skeptical of trying to go a day without a charger for my phone. I rely so much on much phone that its ridiculous! I decided to muster up courage and charge one of the two batteries the phone case is included. Great thing about their batteries is that you get a full charge within an hour and its good to go. I went on with my day as I usually do making calls, updating my Instagram, Twitter, take random pictures and writing post using my WordPress app. I make my phone go through a lot before noon. The moment came to press that small little button on the case to let the reserve battery power up my companion iPhone. With no hesitation the power kicked in and it started to charge my phone quite quickly like you would charge it to a wall outlet. Within an hour my phone was resurrected to a full 100% and ready for another workload. I have also used the phone as it’s charging and have not had one single problem. I have to say this is definitely one of the best investments I made this year. If you rely on your phone like I do, get an Incipio OffGrid Pro. You won’t be disappointed.
