Before Kevin Durant even came out the crowd was getting hyped as a young fan did his best impression of John Wall and not only taught everyone how to dougie but won a gift card for his lessons. Soon after the reigning scoring champion made his way onto stage for his appearance and to sign autographs for his fans. Durant’s fans ranged all ages, sizes and shapes. It seemed as if the crowd grew quicker as word spread of the star being there and early at that. The fans had Durant sign anything and everything that they could get their hands on. Number 35 signed everything from shirts, basketballs, even cell phone cases and toddler sneakers. There was even a fanatic fan who was one of the first people in line to get something signed, ran over to the Foot Locker to purchase a All-Star jersey and be one of the last fans to have something signed. A smile on the star’s face helped bring a smile to the face of the fan that got to have their 10 seconds with the Oklahoma City superstar. And at the end of the event Durant surprised one special kid with tickets to the Saturday’s All-Star festivities including watching Durant in the Foot Locker 3 point contest. Kevin Durant once again proves that nice guys can finish first.
