It has its specific object, In spades, the object is to take at least the number of tricks or also known as books that bit before the play of the hand began. Apart from spades the Whist family also include games like Bridge, Hearts and Oh Hell.

As compared to other variants of the Whist family the difference in Spades game is instead of trump being decided by the highest bidder or at random, the Spade suit always trumps, hence the name Spades. The alternative name for spades is Call Bridge. The skills required are card counting and tactics.

POKER:

Poker was developed in the early 19th century in the United States. Poker is a family of card games that combines many skills out of which are gambling, strategy and some others. Since it has begun in early times, so has grown to become a very popular past time world wide. Betting is taken as an intrinsic part of the play in all poker variants. The winner is determined according to the combination of players’ cards.

This game varies in the number of cards dealt, the number of cards that remain hidden, the betting procedure and the number of shared or “community” cards. The difference between the modern poker games and the standard one is that in modern poker game the first round of betting begins with one or more of the players making some form of the forced bet while in standard poker game each player bets according to the rank they believe their hand is worth as compared to the other players.
